United Methodist Women

East Marion United Methodist Women (UMW), meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. for an informal but structured meeting and time of fellowship. We adhere to the guidelines set forth by United Methodist Women, but we each bring our individual God-given gifts to create a small-member unit that tackles a variety of church wide, community wide and worldwide mission projects.

“I look forward to our meetings every month. We have some very interesting programs and we catch up on what's going on in each other’s lives with refreshments after our business session. The UMW is all about missions, that's what our focus is, and we are always planning projects that will help others, locally as well as state and nation-wide. I wish every woman in the church would participate in UMW. I can tell you this, once you start coming, you will regret every meeting you have ever missed! Come join us!”

Judy F., Member East Marion

"Our UMW is open to all ladies of the church. We gather to share our love of Christ and each other in order to be a light in the community. Our projects include aid to women and children as well as world missions, such as disaster relief and world hunger. After a program and business session, we enjoy refreshments and ‘gab’ time. I always look forward to our time together."

Marie S., Church Member

"During my life-long membership I have witnessed the members of East Marion United Methodist Church always demonstrating the love of Christ not only toward other members but in its mission outreach."

Jo P., Member East Marion
